Congratulations to the Food Service staff for their top level achievement in the Farm Fresh Challenge. In previous years, they had earned “Best of the Bunch,” but this year they advanced to the highest tier, receiving the “Cream of the Crop” award. This is a significant accomplishment that highlights the dedication to providing fresh, local foods and engaging students in meaningful ways.
Six different local foods, representing three different meal components had to be served during the challenge period with a minimum of two products served each week of the challenge.
Educational activities and social media posts were also required to promote the Eat Local, Teach Local, Be Social components of the challenge.
Great job by the staff at all three cafeterias!
