We want to thank Dr. Lisa Hansen for taking the time to work with and teach Avery about all aspects of vet medicine. Avery is working towards her VSCP (Vet Science Certificate Program). In order to complete the program, students must complete 100 lessons, 50 activities, and complete an apprenticeship with a minimum of 225 hours of in job training under a licensed veterinarian and pass a certification exam.
Dr. Hansen is a mobile vet but now has an office on Hwy 79 between Thrall and Taylor(Lonestar Veterinary Services). She has been practicing in the Austin area for the past 16 years. Dr. Hansen enjoys serving her community by providing services to the local shelters and rescues, customers, and schools. She prides herself on creating opportunities for the next generation of veterinary assistants, technicians, and veterinarians.
This is a new program at Thrall ISD and we are proud of Avery for being our first of many future vet assistants!

Tennis dropped a very tough match last night in Caldwell. They had 5 split sets and were only able to come away with two of them. It came down to the last 3 matches and all 3 went to tiebreaks. Hopefully we'll see them again in 2 weeks for the Championship!
