"Hocus Pocus! Here's a little something to help you Focus!" Student Council gifted the teachers with their October appreciation today.
The High School Student Council did a Peanut Butter and Jelly drive, and they collected 78 jars of PB&J. Together with the elementary and middle schools, the HS Student Council was able to donate a total of 106 jars to the St. John Lutheran Church food bank to help those in need.

The Thrall Student Council went to play bingo with the residents at the SPJST nursing home last night, and the residents and the students all had a wonderful time! Many new friendships were made.

Mr. Bryan Holubec, TISD Board of Trustees President, was presented with the 2023 Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) "Advocate of the Year" award by Mr. Don Traxell, TASB Executive Director, at the Oct. 18 School Board meeting. Mr. Holubec was selected from more than 8.000 Texas school district Board members and is recognized for his outstanding contribution and efforts to effectively advocate for public education and to enhance local school boards’ presence in the legislative process.
