As you are getting ready for school to begin, please do not discard those gently worn shoes that you or your child no longer wear! Every pair of gently worn (or new) shoes or boots you donate turns into funds for FCCLA and will be given a second life by those in need. You can bring your donations to Mrs. Cook's room during Meet the Teacher or drop them into the donation boxes located at the entrance of Thrall Elementary, Middle and High School beginning Monday, August 11. Congratulations to Samuel Davis, Ava Finch, Dakota Johnson, and Sarah Laurence for being named to the 2025 All-State Journalism Staff. To qualify, they earned points by participating in UIL journalism writing contests at invitational, district, regional and state meets. They also earned points by winning silver and gold medals in the ILPC's state-wide yearbook competition.
Congrats to Thrall FFA Advisor Carly Lopez for being named a state finalist for the ATAT Outstanding Teacher Award for Area 12! She was recognized at the Ag Teacher Association of Texas Conference in Corpus this morning.
