A powerful display of consequences demonstrated the importance of choices Thursday when the high school PTO presented “Shattered Dreams.”
The day-long program included a mock emergency scene where students acted out the harsh realities of a fatal alcohol-related crash.
Throughout the day, students representing the grim statistics, played the role of “walking dead” and sat silently in their classes as a visual reminder of the consequences.
Students gathered in the gym and listened intently to a series of speakers, some of whom lost siblings or children to drunk drivers.
It was an emotional day. Thank you PTO for helping encourage all students to make good choices!
