Middle School PTO has done an amazing job getting our gym ready for our first dance of the year! Fun will be had tonight!

FCCLA attended the State Fair during their AG Awareness Day, Wednesday, October 11th. FCCLA Chapters were asked to bring canned foods to donate to the North Texas Food Bank. Over 100 lbs of food was collected by Thrall FCCLA. Our kids helped organize food, and spoke to local vendors about their regional project enteries. Some even received donations for their projects.

Wednesdays are where it's at! On Wednesdays at Thrall MS, we celebrate College-Career-Military Readiness (CCMR) at lunch by giving out tickets to t-shirt participants for a drawing to win a snack bar item and a trip to our "CCMR SWAG CART." All students have the chance to earn "swag" during our CCMR TRIVIA portion. The students LOVE this and get so into it we've even gotten into trouble for being too loud! Today, students were having competitions at their lunch tables to see who knew the most acronyms and CCMR facts. Ultimately, the goal is exposure to different post HS options for our students and we love seeing them have fun while learning. As I get better at working the mic and our enthusiastic middle school crowd during trivia, I hope to post more pics...here are a some from the 1st six weeks. A big thank you to Ms. Tennill from TSTC and Ms. Rohan for contributing items to our "SWAG CART." If you own a business and want to donate items, contact Alisha Adams at Thrall Middle School.

Today Chance Parker was awarded the “Built Ford Tough Texas High School Player of the Week” for his performance against Johnson City in week 2. Congratulations to Chance and the Tigers, as he recognized his teammates and coaches that helped make this accomplishment possible. A special thanks to the Covert Ford Hutto team that came out to present it to him, Dream Catcher Events for donating the balloon towers and all those that came to support him today.
