Our Thrall Elementary Student Council visited the SPJST nursing home today to play games, spend time with the residents and celebrate the holidays!
A great time today for NHS and FFA kids. We collected toys for the Ronald McDonald House of Temple😊 we love being able to help this awesome organization!! We appreciate Mrs. Gowan and Mr. Spiedel for treating the kids to pizza!!

Rice krispies treat Christmas trees and Rudolph candy canes to deliver to Elementary next week. FCCLA has been busy. This was part of 2 Focus on Children projects that our FCCLA students will present at contest this year.
MS boys B team gets the WIN over Holland 22-17. 7th grade won BIG against the Hornets 45-12 and 8th grade lost an intense game 24-19. Proud of our Tigers - keep working hard!

Girls play Thorndale for their first District game and the Boys play Florence in a non district match up.
The middle school theatre did a wonderful job today at their One Act Play competition! They placed third out of five schools, and several of our students received awards! The following received awards: Liam Vrbsky (Outstanding Tech), Andrew Chadwick (Honorable Mention All Star Cast), Rebekah Laurence (All Star Cast), and Azriel Shuster (All Star Cast). We're proud of all the work these students have put into this production! Great job!
The Thrall High School Chapter of NHS visited the residents of the SPJST Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center in Taylor, TX. The students carried items for the residents' Christmas Packages and spent a wonderful morning playing bingo with them. The NHS learned several new ways of getting a bingo including a diamond bingo. Such a fun time was had that the residents and NHS members did not want the games to end. The NHS members ended with leading the singing of Christmas carols and the singing of two songs in Czech by three of the residents for the students. The experience the students had was meaningful and enjoyed by the residents.
Our Thrall Elementary Reading Interventionist, Peggy Hejl, is re-retiring at the end of the semester. So today we celebrate her with a Charcuterie Luncheon and gifts to help with her new full time career of being a Mimi💜🐅📚
Thanks to Dr. Barton for visiting with the small animal science classes today and thanks to Millie for volunteering to be his patient today😊 students learned about vet school requirements, vaccines, and had lots of questions for Dr. Barton.
The High School Tigerette Basketball teams travel to St. Michael's this afternoon. JV tips off at 5 pm and Varsity immediately following. There are no admission fees for the games. Goodluck ladies!
